Beware of social media influencers abuse

Yes, social media influencers may be a fast and easy way to get to a younger audience, if that's your target market. However, it's not just about the channel but also the messenger. Everyone understands the platform and its outreach, but those more involved in the industry also know the importance of knowing who is delivering the content.


Take for example the case by the Singapore government, as provided by South China Morning Post, where the Ministry of Finance used influencers to help promote the national budget for youngers, and which resulted in total failure given that the credibility of those influencers was largely questioned.
