"I'm a New York City-based freelance journalist, public speaker and content producer, specializing in travel and tourism in the Americas. For more than 15 years, I've been contributing to a variety of media outlets, including Fodor's and the New York Times bestseller "1,000 Places To See Before You Die." For about a decade, I've also been contracted by the U.S. Travel Association as a writer and editor, to create concise and useful content for IPW, the USA's largest tourism convention.
I also have my own Latin America travel blog, LatinFlyer.com, write a monthly LGBT travel column for Global Traveler, cover Mexico every month for TravelAge West, and contribute to an array of media outlets, including Latin Trade, Meetings & Conventions, Successful Meetings, Meetings Focus, Miami Herald, Passport Magazine, Travel + Leisure Mexico, Travel Weekly, Forbes Travel Guide, American Way, and the inflight magazines of Aeromexico, American Eagle, LAN Airlines and TACA, to name a few. In addition, I work with a variety of travel industry clients to create and manage copy for custom content projects.
My background includes two freelance stints with American Express Custom Publishing Solutions, an on-going gig as business travel blogger and content producer for Orbitz Worldwide and nearly nine years at Northstar Travel Media, the nation's largest travel trade publisher. I also write, edit and manage custom content for a variety of travel industry clients and specialize in social media marketing and SEO to drive traffic.
I also speak at a variety of industry and consumer conferences, conventions and webinars — I've spoken at the New York Times Travel Show, ASTA Global and the South American Hotel & Tourism Investment Conference, to name a few. My specialties include business travel, luxury travel, meetings and conventions, LGBT travel and Latin America.
My copywriting and custom content experience has served the needs of a wide range of clients, from American Airlines Vacations to the Mexico Tourism Board, the U.S. Travel Association and InterContinental Hotels Group, to name just a few."
