Featured Travel Writer: Tracy Kaler

Originally from Pennsylvania, Tracy Kaler is a ballet dancer turned interior designer turned writer. Tracy was bitten by the travel bug when she was 18 years old, driving from the East Coast to California. But when she ventured across the pond for the first time in her twenties, experiencing the culture of the UK was eye-opening and only reaffirmed how passionate she was about travel. That one-week excursion revealed a world of possibilities. Tracy knew then that she’d continue to visit new places, discover other cultures, and connect with people, whether she was traveling to another part of her own country or globetrotting abroad. As an award-winning lifestyle and travel journalist, she focuses on destinations, people, food and drink, design, sustainability, and culture. Find her words and photos in The Telegraph, Barron’s Penta, Travelmag, Mansion Global, amNewYork, Reside Magazine, and other publications. Beyond writing for newspapers, magazines, and websites, she is the author of New York: 48 Hours, a curated NYC guidebook published by National Geographic, and editor of Tracy Kaler’s New York Life + Travel Blog, a comprehensive resource for living in and visiting New York City. Tracy is an active member of SATW (Society of American Travel Writers) and lives on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. When she’s not glued to her laptop, she’s dreaming of her next trip. While she has many places on her travel list, she'd love to visit Scotland, Turkey, and Argentina. Read more about Tracy on her website.
